A Review of Several Different Types of Medical Stirrups

INTRODUCTION

Stirrups are one of the most common equipment used in the hospital. Although mostly used in the operating rooms they are used in the examination rooms, labour rooms, emergency rooms and sometimes even in trolleys.

Positioning patients properly in the Operating Room is critical to providing the best care possible and protecting against complications such as pressure ulcers and nerve damage. These preventable injuries can be devastating to the patient and have significant consequences.

Below we will briefly review several of available stirrups and introduce you to the benefits of the new cost-effective Easy Position Easy Fix (EPEF) Stirrups that we have designed.
