What are the different types of keyhole surgery?

Of the types of keyhole surgery that can be done, there are either straightforward laparoscopic surgery in which the patient is operated on by a surgeon who's standing at the operating table holding the instrument or robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery where the surgeon is not standing at the operating table but sits at a console and the movement of his fingers is then translated into movements of instruments within the patient.

There isn't any inherent advantage in any of the three techniques, and the literature is quite clear on this, and what will determine the patient outcome is the surgeon's experience, particularly with that particular technique, and the patient's cancer prognosis.
