Digestive health - bloating

Dr. Mathena Pavan, Registrar in Gastroenterology: Abdominal bloating is where the tummy feels distended and feels full. You can have a satiated tummy grumbling, and sometimes you can get pain with it. Sometimes people will describe bloating as feeling like there's lots of wind trapped. Other people will describe it as actually they have lots of fluid on their tummy. The main causes of bloating are constipation, over eating, food intolerances, and celiac disease. If you're bloated and it's persistent, so it's lasted for several weeks, you've tried the dietary changes and they haven't helped, I would consult your doctor. I would also consult your doctor if you've had any weight loss associated with the bloating.
