The effectiveness of a ‘Train the Trainer’ model of resuscitation education for rural peripheral hospital doctors in Sri Lanka

Resuscitation education is an emerging field in Sri Lanka, run largely by consultant anaesthetists working at tertiary referral centers and the larger secondary hospitals. The heavy workload of these specialists limits the opportunity to provide training to rural peripheral hospital doctors. Previous research has identified that rural peripheral hospital doctors feel professional isolation due to a lack of training opportunities [1].
