A New Ibuprofen Derivative Inhibits Platelet Aggregation and ROS Mediated Platelet Apoptosis

Several human diseases including chronic inflammation, diabetes, arthritis, cardiovascular diseases (CVDs) and other oxidative stress-associated pathologies are also being linked to mean platelet volume and reduced platelet count, in other words thrombocytopenia [1]–[4]. The augmented oxidative stress as evidenced by elevated reactive oxygen species (ROS) is shown to induce thrombocytopenia, which seems to be the most obvious consequence of elevated rate of platelet apoptosis.
