Curcumin suppresses gelatinase B mediated norepinephrine induced stress in H9c2 cardiomyocytes

The catecholamines, Epinephrine and Norepinephrine (NE), have been demonstrated to pose stress conditions on the cardiac cells deteriorating their structure and function [1]. NE, an adrenergic agonist has been shown to induce stress on the heart with and without adrenoreceptor blockade even in micromolar concentrations [2].
