Type 2 diabetes treated with insulin increases lung cancer risk in postmenopausal women

Postmenopausal women with type 2 diabetes that requires treatment with insulin demonstrated an increased risk for developing lung cancer, according to an analysis of the Women’s Health Initiative (WHI) study.
